Workflows
Workflows overview
Automate what happens after a testimonial is submitted or approved.
Workflows are automation. Instead of manually emailing every customer who leaves a testimonial, you build a flow once and Kudoso runs it for you, every time.
Important
Workflows are a Pro feature. On the Free plan you can see the Workflows area, but you will need to upgrade to build and run one.
What a workflow is#
A workflow is a trigger plus a chain of steps:
- The trigger is the event that starts it, for example "a testimonial was approved".
- The steps are what happens next, run in order: send an email, wait two days, send another.
When the trigger event happens, Kudoso starts a run of the workflow and walks through the steps.
What workflows are good for#
- Thank a customer automatically the moment their testimonial is approved.
- Follow up a few days after a submission to ask for a referral.
- Alert your team when a new testimonial comes in.
- Nurture a contact list toward leaving a testimonial in the first place.
Building one#
Create a workflow
From the Workflows area, start a new workflow and give it a name.
Add steps
Chain the actions you want, in order. Emails, waits, and more.
Activate it
Turn the workflow on. From then on, every matching trigger event starts a run.
Keep the first one simple#
Your first workflow should do one obvious thing well: when a testimonial is approved, send a short thank-you email. Once that is running cleanly, add a step.
