How AI credits work, what they are spent on, and how to top up.

Kudoso's AI features, summaries, sentiment, and analytics, run on AI credits. This page explains the system.

What credits are#

A credit is the unit Kudoso uses to meter AI work. When Kudoso generates a summary or a sentiment read, it draws from your credit balance. Every change to your balance is recorded in a ledger, so the math is always auditable.

Your monthly allotment#

The Pro plan includes a monthly allotment of AI credits, currently 100 per month, granted automatically. For most teams, that comfortably covers summarizing and analyzing the testimonials they collect.

Note

AI features are Pro only. On the Free plan you collect and approve testimonials normally; you just do not have a credit balance or AI output.

Topping up#

If you run through your monthly allotment, for example after importing a large back catalog of testimonials to summarize, you can buy top-up credits as an add-on. Top-ups are bought from the billing area.

What spends credits#

  • Generating an AI summary for a testimonial.
  • Generating a sentiment read.
  • The AI analytics roll-up across testimonials.

Plain testimonial collection, approval, embedding, and Workflows do not spend AI credits. Only the AI features do.

Tip

Credits refresh monthly, so there is no reason to hoard them. If you have testimonials sitting without summaries, generate them: an unused credit at the end of the month is simply gone.
