Email templates
Design the reusable emails that Workflows and invitations send on your behalf.
Email templates are the reusable designs Kudoso sends from. A workflow's "send email" step picks a template; you write the template once and reuse it everywhere.
Why templates#
Keeping email content in named templates means:
- You edit copy once and every workflow that uses it updates.
- Your emails stay on-brand and consistent, instead of being retyped each time.
- A workflow stays readable: a step says "send the Thank you template", not a wall of inline text.
Creating a template#
Open Email Templates
Find Email Templates in the dashboard navigation.
Create a new template
Start a new template and give it a clear name, for example "Testimonial thank you" or "Referral ask".
Write the email
Set the subject and the body. Keep it short, warm, and human. A testimonial thank-you does not need to be long.
Save
The template is now available to any workflow's send-email step.
Writing emails customers actually read#
- One job per email. A thank-you thanks. A referral ask asks. Do not combine them.
- Short subject, plain language. "Thanks for the kind words" beats anything clever.
- Sound like a person. These emails go out after a customer did you a favor. Match that tone.
Tip
Start with two templates: a thank-you and a referral ask. That pair, wired into one workflow, covers the most valuable automation most teams will ever run.
Sending#
Templates are the content. Actually delivering email needs a configured sender. Set that up in Email settings.
