Managing Testimonials
Reviewing testimonials
Read, watch, approve, and reject submissions before they go public.
Every testimonial a customer submits arrives in the campaign as pending. Nothing is public until you approve it. This is your quality gate.
The review flow#
Open the campaign
New submissions show up in the campaign's testimonial list. Pending ones are clearly marked.
Open a submission
Click one to see the full detail: the written quote or the video, the rating, the customer's name and title, and any custom fields.
Approve or reject
Approve to make it eligible for your public widget. Reject to keep it out. You can change your mind later.
Approved vs pending#
Only approved testimonials are ever returned to your embedded widget or the embed API. Pending and rejected testimonials stay private to your dashboard. This means you can collect freely and curate carefully: the wall on your site only ever shows what you have personally signed off.
Note
Approving a testimonial does not email the customer or change anything on their side. It simply marks the testimonial as eligible to display.
What to approve#
A quick rubric:
- Approve specific, credible testimonials with a real name and a concrete point.
- Hold vague ones ("great product!"). Consider going back to that customer with a sharper question.
- Reject anything off-topic, test submissions, or content you would not want on your homepage.
Video review#
For video testimonials, the detail view has a player so you can watch the full clip before deciding. Check the audio is clear and the customer says something you would be glad to feature.
Exporting#
You can pull your testimonials out of Kudoso for use elsewhere. Treat your approved testimonials as content you own.
